Enterprise Zone Program

SUMMARY

Established by the General Assembly in 1982, the Virginia Enterprise Zone Program is a partnership between the state and local governments to stimulate job creation and private investment within designated areas throughout Virginia. Currently, the Northern Neck has over 10,500 acres designated as enterprise zones. Visit www.NorthernNeck.us for details.

Two Zone amendments are now in progress:

1. Extension of Northumberland County's Zone to include several parcels in the Heathsville area

2. Incentives amendment in the Town of Kilmarnock

Two Zone amendments are now in progress:

1. Extension of Westmoreland County's Zone to include several parcels within the Town of Colonial Beach

2. Boundary adjustment of the Town of Kilmarnock's Zone to include several parcels on Main Street

 

2009-10-05

Two Zone amendments are now in progress:

1. Extension of Westmoreland County's Zone to include several parcels within the Town of Montross

2. Extension of the Town of Warsaw's Zone to include several parcels on the west end of the town
