The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
(CEDS) represents the principal planning interests of Virginia’s
Northern Neck Region. It was developed by the active participation of
private-sector representatives, public officials, community leaders,
workforce-development boards, educational institutions, minority and
labor groups, and private individuals. The CEDS document also allows
the Northern Neck Economic Development District (EDD) to apply for assistance
from the Economic Development Administration (EDA), under the Economic
Development Administration Reform Act of 1998.
The latest Northern
Neck CEDS document (PDF, 3.7MB) was adopted on October 18th, 2010
